5. U.S. Virgin Islands
The US Virgin Islands is surely a place that may be something other than your casual island summer travel getaway. This is in no way saying they don't have the aquamarine blue waters and sparkling sands, but there are a few other things on our list that stand out.
There are basically four islands, St. Croix as in (Saint), St. Thomas, St. John and Water Island, just a small island paradise with numerous rocky outcrops. St. John is considered to have some of the most unspoiled underwater and terrestrial habitats found anywhere in the Caribbean. St. Thomas remains the shopping capital of all the three main islands, each year hundreds of thousands of visitors buy goods duty-free.
Thatch Cay, and Hassel Island, provide a variety of little coves and cliff-backed inlets for boaters to explore. Flowing over into St. Croix's Buck Island Reef's where turquoise waters and lovely underwater sea world wows every time. Danish authority once ruled, St. Croix is not only about its rich history.
